Explanation of HID
Stands for High-Intensity Discharge Lamp. It is a system that produces light by putting xenon gas and metal halide salts into the light emitting tube inside the HID Lamp. The electrons inside the light emitting tube collide with the metal atoms, using 23,000 volts generated from the control system (ballast) to produce light. The vehicle Xenon bulb is different from the traditional lamp; there is not filament in the bulb depending on the high intensity gas to discharge the electric and light. The bulb is full of more than six atmospheric pressure Xenon gas and used for the headlight. The bulb is mainly depending on filling with every component of the metal halide steam to discharge electricity and light, therefore, the exact name is vehicle Xenon metal halogen bulb.
Advantages of HID
- 300% Brighter & more consistent illumination of the road, and increases comfort & reduces fatigue when driving at night
- Produces blue-white light that is safer because it is closer to natural daylight
- Lasts 3000 hours or almost no need to replace for life for the light of the vehicle
- Consume only 35 watts of electricity, thus generate much less heat during operation and vehicle has more power for other function
- Environmentally friendly
